film review

Back to the future

It’s definitively a classic. “Back to the future” is directed by Robert Zemeckis and the principal actors are Michael J. Fox as Marty McFly and Christopher Lloyd as Dr. Brown.

This movie narrates the story of a crazy scientific, Dr. Emmet Brown, who invents a time machine on a 1980’s DeLorean (a car). The things get complicated when Marty McFly, a teenager who is his best friend, travels on time, without intention, while escaping from a pair of terrorists. Because of this he meets his parents on late 50’s and suddenly his mother falls in love with him, putting Marty’s existence in danger.

Back to the future contains action, love and also science fiction passages. You have to see this movie, with your friends, family or alone. Anyway you will have a great time watching it.

You can buy or rent this film on DVD and also on Bluray Discs.

Juno

I watched a movie recently that caught my attention. “Juno” is a simple story of a teenager that gets pregnant, and decides to have the baby and hand it over to a foster couple. As you can see, there’s nothing extraordinary about the plot oh the film, and this is precisely why I love it. It has a very naïf sense of humor, its characters could be the person next door, the drama really gets to you, and the soundtrack is amazing. From the director of the award winning “Little miss sunshine”, and rising young stars. Juno is a flick you don’t want to miss, and you will enjoywatching as much as did.

Tony Manero

“Tony Manero” is a Chilean movie, directed by Pablo Larraín. The film narrates the story of a middle-age man (Alfredo Castro), who’s obsessed with the movie “Saturday night fever”, and he wants to represent the protagonist in a Chilean program. So, he prepares his show for a week, and the following Saturday goes to the program “El Festival de la 1”. Finally, he doesn’t win the contest, and he goes so sad to his home.
Personally, I don’t recommend this film, because it deals with political topics so unnecessary. Also, the film is slow and the camera movements are too fast and this affects the viewer’s concentration.

The Motorcycles Diaries

The Motorcycles Diaries is a movie directed for Walter Salles and the principal protagonists are Gael Garcia Bernal and Rodrigo de la Serna. The movie was shown in 2004 at the “Sundance Festival”.
The story is about the travel of Ernesto Guevara and Alberto Granados in 1952 along the entire American continent. There means of transport is a motorcycle Norton, which Alberto calls “La Poderosa”.
In the travel, Guevara and Granados relate with poverty and suffering of people. These experience changes the way Guevara sees the world and in that moment he becomes the mythical “Che Guevara”. The travel lasts six months and the protagonists travel 12.000 kilometres.
I recommend the film, because the story is great and the actors do a great job and personification. Besides, it is the start of the history as a legendary person known in all world.
